Clinicopathological features and surgical treatment of thyroid papillary carcinoma in Hashimoto thyroiditis

Background and Aim: Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most prevalent types of cancer. The present study aimed to investigate clinicopathological features surgical treatment papillary in Hashimoto thyroiditis. Patients Methods: A cross-sectional was carried out on 486 patients department Mardan Medical Complex, Pakistan from March 2020 2023. All were categorized into two groups: Group-I (papillary with thyroiditis) Group-II without thyroiditis). Serum thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), age, central compartment lymph node metastasis (CLNM), gender, nodular size, invasive status different factors recorded. SPSS version 27 used for data analysis. Results: overall mean age 42.84±10.8 years. Out patients, had 76 (15.6%) whereas 410 (84.4%) patients. There 52 (10.7%) male 434 (89.3%) females. incidence final diagnosis benign nodule PTC 53.9% (n=262) 46.1% (n=224) respectively. prevalence PT significantly higher 56.8% 57.9% (n=44) than 43.4% (n=178).
